Pacifico Wines / Tutunjian winery began in 1999 when successful American businessman Edward Tutunjian from Boston was on vacation in Chile. He fell in love with the country and its wine. He decided to invest in Chile and acquired his first vineyard in the Curicó valley. Since then, he has acquired vineyards in Colchagua valley ( 60 years old vines) and Maule valley (10 year old vines). The first Pinot Noir was produced in 2002.
PINOT NOIR RESERVA
The Pacifico Sur Reserve Pinot Noir wine possesses a clear, brilliant, ruby red color and emphasizes the aromas of cherries and raspberries well combined with soft notes of oak. In the mouth it boasts smooth and elegant tannins followed by a sophisticated finish. Among Chilean Pinot Noirs, this is one of the best. Feels full, elegant, and complete on the palate with spicy, layered flavors.

SAUVIGNON BLANC
The Pacifico Sur Estate Sauvignon Blanc has a bright yellow tint with glints of green. Its prominent aromas of lime and grapefruit blend harmoniously with herbs and floral notes. In the mouth it is full and it exhibits a lasting freshness on the palate.

CABERNET SAUVIGNON
Cherry and cassis aromas start out feisty but dull down with air while the palate is smooth, lightly oaked. It shows red berry, cherry and vanilla flavors. Calm and collected, it finishes with a competent but restrained overall finish. The wine is very approachable.

CHARDONNAY
Apple and vanilla aromas are front and center on the mild, somewhat dilute bouquet. The palate feel is good and the flavor of pear and banana are middle toasted and smooth. A very drinkable yet simple chardonnay. A very nice drinkable wine.

Pacifico sur merlot reserve displays an intense ruby-red coloring and well emphasized red fruit aromas. A gentle touch of oak and a well structured finish round out this delicious blend.

CARMENERE
Typical of Chilean Carmenere, it deals with a mixture of herb, spice olive, and gritty berry aromas. The palate feels racy and scrapes, while the flavor profile is defined by toast, black fruits, green-leaning herbs, and licorice. It’s full in feel, and it tastes slightly minty and spicy on the finish.
